About

I’m Alex Savelyeva (she/they), a software engineer. Most of my work is product development — helping products ship, learn, and iterate faster. Open source is a big part of that: sharing what we build, contributing to core, and finding better ways to improve the foundations that let a product keep growing. Away from the editor, I photograph — and a fair amount of that ends up here too.

This site is also the experiment. There is no CMS and no database behind it: every blog post, project, tool and photograph is a record in a personal AT Protocol repository, read back through public atproto APIs. If you want the raw data instead of the rendered page, every post carries an inspector that shows the exact record it came from.

The three designs

The same content is served through three separate front-ends so I can compare them in the open: the terminal design on alexdln.com, an editorial one on space.alexdln.com, and a dashboard on board.alexdln.com. Only alexdln.com is meant to be indexed and cited; the other two are marked off for crawlers and exist for side-by-side comparison.
